Neighborhood barbecues, hometown parades, and dazzling fireworks are what comes to the minds of most Americans when asked about the Fourth of July. With these celebrations, it is easy to forget the real reason we are celebrating the Fourth of July — the anniversary of our Declaration of Independence.
As most of us know, The Declaration of Independence is the official statement written by Thomas Jefferson declaring the freedom of the thirteen American colonies from Great Britain. At Gene Wagner Plumbing, we appreciate the sacrifice men and women in our armed forces have made to guarantee the continued celebration of our independence. Thanks to our veterans who continue to uphold America’s freedom, we are gazing at fireworks, walking in parades, and serving dinner at our family reunion, feeling grateful for what we have in America.
Gene Wagner Plumbing Tip:
If you are serving guests a meal this Fourth of July, remember your garbage disposal is not a trash receptacle! When you’re making your famous casserole or pasta dish, make sure the remnants aren’t tossed down your kitchen sink. Starchy vegetables, along with fibrous foods, make it difficult for the blades to grind.
